What’s Happening in August

SAVE THE DATE: “Art in the Park”

Saturday, August 25 from 10am – 3pm, Valley Arts United presents, in conjunction with Farmers Market, a family event honoring our native heritage, the Puyallup Indians. Mark Andrew, the sculptor of “Salmon Spirit Speaks” will be a guest along with the Puyallup Family Native Dancers performing on the Rotary Stage. In addition, five artists from the Arts Downtown Outdoor Gallery will be in attendance with sculptures on display and live demonstrations; a children’s area with paper fish to color and hang; and a public chalk-the-walk event that will create a “fish run” that is symbolic of the Puyallup River.
