There's No Place Like Puyallup! Especially in June!
The 70th Annual Meeker Days Festival kicks off June 19 through the 21st. Honoring the classic film "The Wizard of Oz" the Festival will have a definite "Oz-ian" theme. Members of ASTRA (All Saints Theater Rep Association) will be strolling around in costumes from the famous movie. You'll see Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion, the Wicked Witch and even a few flying monkeys. Be sure to check out the Meeker Mansion in the evening as it glows an emerald green to represent the Emerald City!

Jeff Cook, founding member of the world famous country music band "Alabama" is slated to perform two shows at this years' Meeker Days Festival. In November of 2005, Jeff and his bandmates received Country Music’s highest honor, being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
