This March, come to downtown Puyallup and share your Celtic heritage. We will be putting a new twist on the tradition of wearing green. Go Green with sustainability and environmental awareness. The Celtic tradition is celebrated by music, good food and community... all of our favorite things.
The Enchanted Harp, Puyallup's unique harp shop, will set the mood with music so listen and follow the tunes throughout the city. Does Kell's, Smithwick's or Bemish sound familiar? These are just a few of the ale's that will be available at Corkscrew Cellars for the celebration. Trackside Pizza is working on their very own interpretation of a Celtic Pizza, along with plenty of Irish beer and the Classic Irish movie "The Quiet Man" it promises to provide a complete experience.
T-4-2, etc has the Scottish meat pies on their menu. Stop by and treat your taste buds to the Steak and Mushroom, chicken, Shepherds and traditional Scottish pie. Served with a salad and marinated carrots, yummmm.
YMCA, Friends and Servants will host an interactive garden workshop; it is time to plant those seeds! Interested in starting your very own worm composting bin? Or solar power questions? We will have many great suggestions on how to move towards a green living environment.
Clansmen from the Tacoma Scottish Highlands and The National Tartan Society will be in full dress with stories to be told and Scottish flavor to be enjoyed.
Be sure to visit the Meeker Mansion for their Emerald Isle Tribute featuring corn beef and cabbage and a jig or two. $8 per person.
